NEED A RECHARGE MARIA ISLAND MID WINTER RETREAT

Who can join Spice?

Spice is for anyone who wants to lose weight, improve their fitness and get results. Age and athletic ability do not matter. Our program is designed to be fun and challenging and to push you to YOUR next level and to reach YOUR goals. If you can do 3 sit ups we will push you to do 4 if you can do 20 we’ll push you to do 22. It’s as simple as that.

What kind of intensity can I expect?
Let’s be honest if exercise isn’t hard it isn’t working! Our program is designed to push you to the next level so it will be difficult but it will be worth it! You will get out what you put in so we ask that you give 100% effort at all times and participate to YOUR fullest ability. But one thing we guarantee is that you will never get through a Spice session without laughing because our classes are hard but fun and we work as a team. So give it your all and you won’t be disappointed!

What if I am really unfit?
At Spice we work with the individual as much as we work with the group. No one gets left behind and no one is expected to work at a pace that puts them at risk of injury. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. We ask that you always listen to your body, rest if you feel overwhelmed and make your goal to be able to complete the sets or activities if you cannot. The aim is to always improve even if it just by one rep of an exercise each week. We will make sure you feel challenged in a safe environment.

Will this kill me?
No. It has not killed anyone yet, and we have been delivering these sessions for a very long time. If you die, you will be the first, and we really do not want to have to change this answer, so you had better not die! On a more serious note all Spice clients are required to complete a pre exercise questionnaire so that our trainers are aware of any existing health conditions and can tailor certain exercises to your needs.

What if I am the slowest person in the group?
At Spice we work in a team setting but focus on our own individual needs. Every workout will be different and you will find that you perform better with some activities than others. We guide and help you focus on any weaknesses to overcome them and make them your strengths. Every movement and exercise in our program can be modified to be super easier and super tough. We encourage you to speak up and ask for help if you need it, you will always receive help and support, that’s what our instructors are there for. And remember that every woman is there for the same reason and everyone is there to support each other. We all have to start somewhere so don’t worry about being the slowest, and when somebody else joins who is slower than you remember to give them the support and encouragement they need too.

I hate running, do I have to run?
At Spice we ocassionally may do light jogs for warm ups and to keep your heart rate up. So be ready for cardio drills, but if we do it will not be long distances.

I’m already in good shape, is this program for me?
At Spice we accommodate all fitness levels. If we see you stand out in the group as a superwoman be ready for us not to let up on you. It doesn’t matter who you are, we will challenge you to your fullest potential.If you’re training for a specific purpose for example a marathon please let us know so we can help you reach your goals.

Is this class like the military? Will I be yelled at?
No – we are nothing like the military at all and you will not be yelled at. We like to have FUN and get FIT all at the same time. This will not be easy. It certainly will be a challenge, but we are not here to destroy you. We cater to all levels of fitness and we do that well.

What if the weather is bad?
If the session is an outdoor session we may workout in all kinds of weather. Sessions are only cancelled if there is a risk of injury as a result of the weather. For any outdoor sessions please make sure you dress for the weather.

What do I need to bring?
Water and lots of it! If you like you can bring a face towel but remember if we are outside you will have to carry it with you. Dress for the weather.

How do I pay?
At Spice we take all payments via cash, eftpos of direct debit billing.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
No, all services are for a fixed term. When we sit with you to discuss achieving your goals we match a program and timeframe to your package. (NOTE: Some general memberships undertaken before July’14 do have a cancellation option).

Do you offer suspension?
Yes. It varies depending on the contract term and has a weekly administrative fee for the suspension term. Any suspension request must be for a minimum of 2weeks and are not retrospective and must be submitted in writing.
