Hi. I’ve been going to Spice Fitness now for about four years. I had my twins about six years ago and I used to see another trainer who left the area and I then found Spice and I was so pleased to find a gym for normal women.
I was made to feel welcome by Sheree and Andrew when I first turned up. And I felt at home.
I’ve really enjoyed going there ever since. I love that the focus is around functional training. It’s really helped me as a mum. Things like learning how to carry things properly. How to lift my children, particularly my twins when they were so young that it was important for me to do it properly and to do it well. And to look after myself.

So, I joined to look after me, and by looking after me I thought that I could be a better mum as well too.
So, there have been lots of benefits for me. And I guess as a result my family, my health’s been better, I have a stronger lower back, and just generally I feel better about myself.
So, I also find that I recover better from injury now too. Now that Sheree has helped me to learn about how to look after myself. How to lift well. All those functional kind of movements that we all do day to day, but we probably don’t think about so much. It’s great that she has that focus.
Strength training as well as cardio mixed in is a great mix for me. I really enjoy that. I enjoy the ladies. I’ve made some great friends there.
We have a lot of laughs. Lots of fun. And I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be.
So, thank you Sheree for having me, and yeah, I plan on training there for as long as you’ll have me. So, thank you.
