Beef or Veg Burrito Wraps

Ingredients for Beef or Veg Burrito Wraps:

BEEF:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400g 1 brown onion finely diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 400g beef mince
  • 1-2 tablespoons spice mix
  • assorted variety fillings: eg sliced lettuce, diced tomato or cucumber, grated carrot, grated cheese, sliced avocado, salsa, caramelised onions, cooked black rice, variety of sauces 

VEGITARIAN:

  • 400g canned kidney beans, drained
  • 400g canned tomatoes, diced
  • 100g tomato paste

SPICE MIX:

  • 2 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions for Beef or Veg Burrito Wraps:

step one: thoroughly mix all spice mixture ingredients together, store in airtight container.
step two: heat oil in large saucepan or wok
step three: add onion and garlic, stirring regularly until browned.
step four: add mince and spice mix, folding over with a spatula until mince is cooked through.
step five: heat tortillas for 1 minute in the microwave
step six: assemble mince and a variety of fillings onto half of the burrito, then wrap tightly

VEGITARIAN:
step four add kidney beans, canned tomatoes and tomato paste in lieu of mince.
