Boosting your metabolism is a very important part of losing weight. Your metabolism helps to burn more fat and calories and move those stubborn kilos.Follow these easy 5 steps to hep boost your metabolism.

Don’t over-do your diet.
A lot of people are convinced they have to almost starve themselves to lose weight. But that slows down your metabolism and makes it much harder to lose weight. In fact you need to eat food throughout the day to keep your metabolism running on high which also helps prevent binging. A good tip is to multiply your goal weight by 10 and never eat fewer calories than that total. You’ll still lose weight and keep your metabolism running on high.

Eat with your body clock.
Eat a big, healthy breakfast to jump-start your metabolism in the morning. Your metabolism peaks around noon, so it’s best to eat a bigger breakfast and lunch and a smaller dinner so you will burn off the calories you’ve consumed.

Eat plenty of beans.
All beans contain a starch that increases your body’s fat burning by up to 30 percent after meals. Beans are full of fibre that is good for your heart and will keep you feeling full longer.

Take good supplements.
Vitamin D is essential for bone health and cancer prevention, and also helps regulate your metabolism. Research has shown a direct link between vitamin D levels and weight loss. You should also start taking fish oil, which is good for a lot more than just your heart and brain. New research has found that regular exercisers who took fish oil supplements were able to lose an additional 1.5 kgs over 12 weeks more than those who didn’t take the supplements.

Go slow when strength training.
Lifting weight helps you burn more calories than fat by building muscle, this automatically boosts your calorie burn even while you sleep. Now, research has found that doing strength training slowly boosts your metabolism and burns calories for as long as 72 hours afterwards.
